Arlene Foster was elected to serve in the Assembly in 2003 and was appointed as DUP Leader and Northern Ireland’s first female First Minister.
Since her humble childhood in South Fermanagh, Arlene has travelled through the political sphere taking Ministerial posts in a number of Departments within the Northern Ireland Executive. Throughout this journey, she has continued to put the people of Fermanagh and South Tyrone at the heart of her negotiations. Being born, raised and educated in this constituency, Arlene is aware of the daily challenges that face local communities. Each person living in Fermanagh & South Tyrone can feel valued through the vision that both Arlene and her DUP colleagues have for this area.
